| SEWING MACHINES - every year we train young people top become Tailors. It’s job employment training in India. Many young people are able to find work, when trained and having their own sewing machine. Widowed women, both HIV positive and also poverty line widowed women receive training and become self supporting with a sewing machine. |

| SOLAR LIGHTS – In both Muniguda and the Community centre at Kottavalsa near the city of Visakhapatnam there are serious power shortages. In Visakhapatnam Centre the Electricity Board wants $15,000 to upgrade the Transformer. We have looked at both Muniguda situation and Kottavalsa. New Hope has a positive experience with Solar lighting panels, connected to a battery series and an inverter, each Centre would make a big difference to the efficiency of every part of the project. It would mean that’s children’s computer classes didn’t get cancelled day after day. Lights in the Homes would switch over automatically at night when the power failed. |
